James Martin

James is a facilitator of Ayahuasca and Kambo whose journey started with plant medicines
began in 2015. James was trained to carry Kambo in 2017, and entered into training of
facilitating Ayahuasca ceremonies with the Yawanawa tribe in the Brazilian Amazon in 2019. He
was initiated into the Yawanawa tradition by completing the year long sacred dieta of Muka by
one of the leaders of the tribe, Matsini Yawanawa.
James is also a military veteran and former firefighter/ paramedic , who’s work focuses heavily
on bringing access to plant medicines to this community of veterans and first responders.
He also is one of the founders and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Church of the
Universal Light of the Yawanawa. A 501c3 non- profit that is dedicated to supporting the
Yawanawa and veterans/ first responders through plant medicine.
James also leads groups to the Yawanawa village of Mutum in Acre Brazil, and organizes for
several members of the tribe when they come to travel in the United States. James is highly
dedicated to this work, and carries the medicine in the traditional way of the Yawanawa. His
dedication, care, respect and on going study is apparent through his work on this incredible
path of plant medicine facilitation.

Intimate Traditional Yawanawa Ayahuasca Retreat with James
November 1 - 3, 2024

$750 LIMITED TO ONLY 20 PARTICIPANTS The ceremonies will be held in the traditional Yawanawa way. The nights will begin with an opening talk and prayer and drinking the sacrament . There will be the chanting of saitis ( traditional chants of the Yawanawa) in the first part of the ceremonies, with instruments brought out in the second part of the ceremonies ( guitars/ drums). The participants will have the opportunity to take more of the sacrament throughout the night.  Hapé will also be available during the ceremonies.
